July- The Vacation Month!

We aren't even 1/2 way done with the month, but so far it has been filled with some very needed relaxation and fun. We still have Mama and Papa coming out for a visit next week, so in a very rare event, I will be posting twice this month. For now here is what has happened in the 1st 2 weeks of July...
The 4th of July- Rory's sister Nicky and her adorable family came down from Nebraska and we all met up at The Morales Cabin for the weekend. True to form, Susan and Louie had a day of fun already to go. We rode horses, swam in the lake and had cowboy dinners and smore's for dinner. There's nothing better than being around family and having great conversations and fun activities to look back on in the future. Here are a few pics from our 4th of July weekend...




Moving on to our last minute vacation to California. Rory's Aunt and Uncle offerd to let us use their time share in Newport Beach,California, and we're not one's to turn down an offer like that so a few days later we packed up the car and 4 kids and head to sunny, not so warm, but perfect 70 degrees California. The drive down was a breeze free of crying, whining, fighting and demands. We arrived at the hotel, which was absolutely beautiful, room with an ocean view and all...we wasted no time in getting our swim suts on and hitting the water. We played at the pool, went to Sea World, explored tide pools and caves at the beach, played in the ocean and even got a free dolphin show at Hunington beach. The dolphins were jumping in and out of the waves, doing flips and played pretty much the entire time we were there that day. Had I known that we wouldn't have payed to see them at Sea World. Anyways it was a wonderful break and I really loved having that time to just enjoys my kids and my husband and not worry about anything else. Here are some pics of our Cali Vacation...
